About Me

I've always wanted to start a blog and in the summer of 2016 my whole life changed, it was probably the craziest summer of my life. Not that my life has been very long...I'm only 21 so I'm sure I have many more crazy summers ahead of me. But I definitely think that Summer 2016 was one for the books. In May, right after my awesome husband (then boyfriend), Josh, graduated from Pittsburg State University we drove to Washington DC from Pittsburg, KS with his brother to visit their Aunt Serena and cousin Bella and see the wonderful city that is our nation's capital.

After our trip to DC, Josh and I returned home for the end of May. We had a feeling that some unexpected things were going to happen over the rest of the summer and on Josh's birthday, June 7th, we knew that the day of unexpected things happened. I'll have to explain the long story in a blog post soon but long story short: in December 2015 I told Josh there was no way I would marry him before I finished college and then in April I changed my mind...er, God changed my mind which leads us to June 7th. On this wonderful day, Josh found out that the internships that would have taken him to Dallas for my senior year of college fell through and now the back up plan was going to kick in. We were getting married, before school started and we screamed and laughed and I think a few tears came out of my eyes at the scary thought that I would soon be a wife, and the wonderful thought that I would get to love this man for the rest of my days. Two days later, Josh surprised me at one of my favorite parks, with the help of my best friend, and asked me to marry him. In his perfect romantic fashion, he fixed up an old typewriter and wrote this precious letter to me. We decided to have our wedding on August 13th! Only two months of planning!

In July, I left the country for a month. I know, I'm the craziest person you have ever heard of, only two months to plan and I fly all the way to the other side of the world for a month. The trip was planned before our engagement and I had to go to complete study abroad credit for my degree. So off I headed to Taiwan, hoping that the planning would come together. You can read about my travels here: http://katyswanderlust.blogspot.com/

The idea of THIS blog was born in Taiwan and I hope to continue on with this dream I had one day of "Live. Laugh. Lowe."

On August 13th, to end my perfectly crazy summer, I married my best friend with only a week and a few days before my senior year of college

Becoming Mrs. Lowe has been a great joy and I hope to share the life and laughter with you through this blog. Most of all I hope to share stories of grace and the life that Josh and I, and many of our friends, have found in Jesus, the hope of our Salvation. He is the only reason that I can write about all of these wonderful adventures that have happened, and all that are to come.

Grace and peace to you, dear reader,

Katy Lowe
